# Local Currency

The official currency is the Namibian Dollar (NAD). The current average exchange rate is USD  1  to NAD 17.92 

Foreign currencies can be converted at the airport, the hotel, or any major bank in the city. Please note that most ATMs accept major credit/debit cards, including Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, and American Express.
